I’ve been DJing for the love of it for 20+ years and giving my mixes away for free online for well over a decade. I’ve been approached by advertisers to put ads on my site and I’ve always resisted as making money out of mixing other people’s music doesn’t sit well with me. <\/p>\n
I am just the vessel through which their music flows.<\/p>\n
Even though I’ve plowed enough money to buy a house into my music collection over the years, I never really thought about getting paid for something I got so much out of. Playing music always seemed like payment enough. <\/p>\n
But, recently a few people have asked if I have a Patreon and seemed a bit disappointed I didn’t. Each one of them wanted to thank me personally for years of listening pleasure and so here I am…<\/p>\n
I will keep on doing what I have always done and run The Ear & Drum as a 100% free site where I can share my love of music with others. <\/p>\n
